PRESSURE TRANSIENT TESTS
Pressure transient tests make it possible to determine filtration parameters of the formation during filtration of fluids through it, i.e. under conditions corresponding to working conditions of reservoir development. This type of tests characterizes the formation both in the bottomhole zone of the well and in the remote part of the reservoir.
The main strategic directions of pressure transient test are:
Clarification of information on deposit required for drawing up of design process documents for the field development.
Obtaining information required for efficient monitoring of the field development.
The main tasks of the pressure transient test are:
- Clarification of reservoir type and geological & hydrodynamic model of deposit.
- For fractured & porous reservoir: extent of participation in matrix rock development;
- Assessment of connectivity across the formation and detection of impermeable boundaries;
- Determination of porosity & permeability properties of pay formation and estimation of their variation in area and time during development;
- Obtaining information on the well-formation system required for selecting the method of well operation;
- Assessment of the technical condition of wells and their operation mode;
- Study of energy condition of deposit and main filtration flows;
- Study of the nature of fluid filtration. Detection and evaluation of the degree of non-Newtonian fluid properties;
- Determination of the nature of filtration properties dependence on the bottomhole pressure in production and injection wells;
- Determination of the relationship between the change in the productivity factor with the downhole pressures above and below the saturation pressure;
- Definition of the bottomhole pressure below which the productivity factor starts reducing. Determination of saturation pressure according to well survey data;
- Determination of critical crack opening pressure in injection wells;
- Determination of location and operating section of horizontal well filter;
- Determination of separate production by formations developed together;
- Interval determination of filtration features;
- Assessment of the well bottomhole zone condition in order to select wells for the bottomhole zone and formation stimulation;
- Assessment of process efficiency of the performed bottomhole zone and formation stimulation.
- The company has extensive practical experience of operation both according to traditional methods of research and on original technologies developed for a certain customer.
PRESSURE TRANSIENT TESTS USING JET PUMP
Pressure transient tests using jet pumps allow:
- Carrying out tests during wellwork (bottomhole zone cleaning);
- Obtaining all required specifications of the well formation and bottomhole zone during well development (without additional well shutdown);
- Monitoring the wellwork, reliably analyzing wellwork efficiency;
- Carrying out research for each site on wells operating several formations.
Current tasks:
- IPR curve recording;
- Pressure buildup curve recording;
- Definition of an inflow profile;
- Recording of pressure and temperature changes during wellwork, for quality control;
- Removal of reaction products after SCO;
- Well d
